The Season So Far…

This Spring has brought both challenges and joys to us at United Juniors.  We are thrilled to finally have use of our lovely home ground on the shores of Lake Lewisville back, after three weeks of flooding and rain-outs!  The Ground played really well last weekend for our first session back and we had a fantastic session with some new families and after our picnic lunch a little bit of grown-ups vs kids cricket… the kids won!  

We will be back to our regular season program this weekend, with skills focussed sessions followed by game simulation practice and some competitive drills in there for good measure!

We are looking forward to seeing all of you out there bright and early to take advantage of this lovely Texas spring weather we are enjoying.

Ground Change for Saturday 31st March.

Due to flooding at our home ground on Lake Lewisville, we will be holding our session this Saturday at Bakersfield Park Sports complex on Duncan Lane, Flower Mound.

Our session will be from 9am – 1130am

Come prepared to have fun and invite your friends!

Please note: Parking is NOT allowed on the East side of Duncan Ln, citations will begin to be issued for this!  Please park in the parking lot to the West of the field.

National Youth Cricket Day!! Saturday March 24th

This Saturday is National Youth Cricket Day – we are celebrating by inviting you all to come out and join us for an impromptu match followed by a training session at our lovely ground on the shores of Lake Lewisville.

What better way to spend a Saturday morning?

Great Start to the Season!

What a privilege it was to have Usman Shuja, pace bowler from the USA team, come and join us for our first session of the year! The kids enjoyed a bowling demo and coaching on both batting and bowling basics.

WELCOME TO UNITED JUNIOR CRICKET CLUB.

United Cricket Club’s Junior Program is an inclusive cricket program for cricketers, and aspiring cricketers, aged 6 – 16.  Our ICC certified Level 1 coaches look forward to meeting and developing the future generation of cricketers and leaders.  We love cricket and have  a passion to see this great game spread throughout our nation.  Watch this space as we work with schools and local clubs to increase the opportunities for youngsters to play and love cricket in Texas.

United Junior Cricket is a member of the United States Youth Cricket Association, the United States of America Cricket Association and the North Texas Cricket Association.

Fall Session Round-Up

It has been an eventful fall session here at United Juniors.  We have seen the club membership grow from our original 5, to 20 players on a consistent basis at our weekly sessions.

This fall also saw two of our coaches attain the International Cricket Council’s Level 1 Coaching Accreditation.  The course was held in Maryland and hosted by the United States Youth Cricket Association and taught by ICC Americas Development director, Wendell Coppin.  For coverage of the course and for news of youth cricket development in the US, visit the USYCA webiste:  http://usyca.org
